World’s Most Luxurious Facials

facials we love

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need a break from shopping for clothes and sarees. In fact, my other obsession is skincare. If you’ve read my previous article about fillers and injections – you know that I’m passionate about beautiful skin.

Life can’t all be about wearing the right clothes and the latest fashion right?!

Life nowadays has become extremely fast-paced and stressful, so it is no surprise that people are looking for ways to splurge money on pampering themselves. One of the best ways to pamper oneself is to get a facial treatment. A good facial can result in a glowing, fresh, younger-looking skin and provide relief from the stress of work and life. Given the recent popularity of facials, there are plenty of unconventional treatments across the world and some of which cost more than a week at a luxury resort in Tasmania

If you are going to be parting with your hard-earned money, you want to make sure you’re getting the best pampering possible. You also want to make sure that you’re going to be left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Here are some of the more interesting, yet effective facial options:

Bird Poop Facial

This is one of the ancient Japanese Treatments which was first implemented and practised by the geishas. Bird Poop is said to contain enzymes that are very effective in removing the dead skin cells thus resulting in a fresher and polished skin. Note that it is available in very limited places across the world apart from Japan. One of these places is a very high-end spa in New York City, coming in at a cost of  $215 per facial.

24 – Carat Gold Facial

At a specific salon in London, for only $600 you can literally have gold rubbed into your face. As a part of the procedure, the face is first applied with gamma-PGS which intensely hydrates the skin. After this, sheets of pure gold are placed on the face and removed once the treatment is done.

It is said to help improve the production of skin cells while also providing greater complexion. It can leave you with a skin that is firm and toxic-free.

The Grand Luxe Facial

This three-hour facial treatment is being provided at a spa in San Francisco for the small price of $650. As a part of the process, first, a diamond is applied on the face in order to cleanse and exfoliate the skin. The micro-currents through it can also provide a facelift without the use of any surgical procedures.

Following this, caviar and an LED light is applied to the face. Throughout the procedure, a therapist will gently massage your body to enhance the relaxing experience.

Vampire Facial

This could easily be one of the strangest facials out there, and was popularized by Kim Kardashian. At a cost of a whopping $1500, this facial uses the platelet-rich plasma from your own body. Blood is taken, then a centrifuge is used to separate the blood from the plasma. The blood is then injected into the skin to make it more radiant.

Triple Lift

The Peninsula Spa, one of the high-end spas in New York, is offering the triple lift treatment. The aim of this is to increase the metabolism of the cells by using two manual lifting procedures. The facial treatment can result in hydrating skin and make it look much younger. It will, however, set you back for $650 for the process.

While these are some of the most luxurious facial treatments across the world, there are other more extreme techniques out there. Some, like the Bee Venom Facial, can cost upwards of $100,000! There are also some facial treatments that are kept secret and are commonly used by celebrities and members of royal families, such as Kate Middleton. Given the price tag and unusual techniques used in many of these procedures, we might just stick with a good old fashioned trip to a luxury day spa!
